Ryan Dobbs is a theologian, pastor, evangelist, author, speaker, consultant, ministry leader, professor, and attorney whose mission is to inspire, equip, and enable the generations to engage, evangelize, and impact the world and culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the demonstrated love of God.

A passionate communicator of Biblical truth, Ryan seeks to present the life-changing principles of God’s Word, to audiences of all ages, through preaching, teaching, writing, training, special events, and by leveraging various multimedia channels such as podcasts and social media platforms. He has been privileged to travel the world for ministry, including to such diverse locations as Thailand, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Israel, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, and many others. Ryan is the author of three books, including The Time is Now, and a novel entitled Redemption.

Ryan’s commentary is featured weekly on The Pursuit of Truth Podcast, a show dedicated to exploring the issues and challenges of the modern age from a Biblical worldview. As a consultant, Ryan seeks to assist local churches and church leaders in obtaining and maintaining Biblically-defined church health, including providing guidance and advice to pastors, elders, deacons, staff, and lay leadership related to Biblical church government, church revitalization, and Biblical church growth. Ryan also provides training and resources to churches, ministries, nonprofit organizations, and individuals seeking to achieve greater influence for the Gospel in their communities and the nations.

Ryan is the Founder and President of Discipleworks International and the Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Theology, Law & Public Policy. Ryan serves as an Adjunct Professor at Regent University School of Law, where he developed and teaches a course on legal ethics.  Ryan completed undergraduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary before graduating from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Religion. Ryan then pursued a joint degree at Regent University, obtaining a Master of Arts in Practical Theology and a Juris Doctor. Ryan is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Public Policy from Liberty University, focusing his scholarship on the intersection of theology and policy in the public square. A licensed and ordained minister, Ryan has continued in full-time ministry while also practicing law in the private sector; a licensed attorney, Ryan is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Texas.

Ryan is available to speak at local churches, school assemblies, conferences, small group meetings, and business leadership gatherings.  With a special emphasis on apologetics and worldview training, Ryan uses his unique experience as both a pastor and attorney to help believers understand the issues of the day and how to apply the Bible to their lives in practical ways. He is passionate about helping Christians develop their ability to engage the culture and the world with their faith, resulting in effective evangelism and meaningful discipleship.

Ryan is married to Sarah; together they have three children: a daughter, Addison Elise, and two sons, Ryler Elliott and Asher Everett. When not serving in ministry or practicing law, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and friends, coaching baseball, playing the piano and guitar, reading books on a variety of topics, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and traveling the world.
